During March to April, we will be conducting a number of training rides to give everyone the chance to meet each other and test out your legs.  More info will be made available to Event Registrants.

Registration Fee is $150 and is payable fully when you Register.  You must register prior to 31st March 2014!  This Fee covers a professional cycling jersey, accommodation and meals (breakfast, lunches and snacks).  REGISTER HERE

In addition, each participant is to raise funds for Heritage College of no less than $150.  The funds raised are to be paid in full by the event day.

THE CAUSE

The Western Port Classic is a community cycling event that supports local people and programs in Melbourne's East.  In 2014, the fund raising proceeds (min $150 pp) will be used to purchase much needed data projectors and tablets to assist the students at Heritage College with computer competencies.

Located in The Basin, Heritage College is an independent Christian school situated on 17 acres of bushland at the base of the Dandenongs.

It is a small thriving school that has been in existence for four years with enrollments on the increase every year.

This event isn't just for athletes or cycling enthusiasts. The Western Port Classic is for anyone who wants to challenge themselves for a great cause.  Think of it as an opportunity to do something big for your community while having a great time.

THE ROUTE

DAY ONE

Riders will depart from Heritage College at The Basin and head up over the Dandenongs before turning south to cross the plains around Western Port Bay to Phillip Island.  Accommodation will be at Cowes, with the opportunity to enjoy the beach for some late afternoon recovery!

DAY TWO

Leaving Cowes the next morning, the Tour will take the ferry across Western Port Bay to Crib Point.  From there we will cycle through the beautiful Mornington Peninsula taking in Red Hill, Flinders and up to Arthurs Seat where we descend to Dromana.  We continue north along Port Phillip Bay then make our way across the Western Port plains to the final challenge of the climb to the top of the Dandenong’s, then returning to The Basin for some TLC and a big celebration!
